John Wall, fellow Wiz rookies perform TLC
Two of these three Wizards rookies sang TLC. (By Nick Wass - AP)
The Wizards had a team dinner on Thursday night, and the rookies were required to sing. This is one of the mainstays of pro sports rookie hazing, ranking somewhere below "Dressing up in funny costumes" and somewhere above "getting tied to goalposts and sprayed with Gatorade" on the bloggability scale.
UPDATE: The Great Michael Lee has the full story.
Audio has not yet been procured, nor have post-song quotes. I thought about driving out to George Mason on Friday merely to ask questions about song performance, but that's a long way to drive for a question like that. So I'll trust my colleagues to ask the hard questions, and I'll just provide the Twitter dialog of said event. These are via the Twitter feeds of John Wall, Trevor Booker and Kevin Palmer.
Wall: I'm nervous right now gotta sing a song at the team dinner tonight!!!
Palmer: Gotta do my rookie duties and sing in front of a crowd smh lol......bout to sing no scrubs by TLC wit @jimmywa11 and @Trevor_Booker....it's in front of people...me him and Trevor Booker each doing a verse
Wall: haha this gonna be too funny....I can't sing just one of my rookie duties...lol!!!
Wes Johnson to Wall: They had me sing in front of everybody too bro smh
Palmer: Just finished and my man @jimmywa11 @Trevor_Booker and I killed it lmao
Wall: Just finished and my man @kpalmer15 @Trevor_Booker and I just killed it...#purecomedy!!!
Palmer: I was sweating up there singing tonite lmfao
Fan to Palmer: So who were u? Chili, Left Eye or TBoz? Lmao

Fan to Palmer: Give me a copy & ima get u deal!
Palmer to fan: haha everybody got jokes on me tonite lol

Which one played the part of Left-Eye? Did they really get in to character to the point where whoever did play Left-Eye went and burned down Andre Rison's house? Or got on an airplane?
