Video of Bryce Harper's Ground-Rule Double


Bryce Harper's first career Arizona Fall League hit was a ground-rule double that came off the bat with the sound of thunder, or of 40,000 Duke basketball fans clapping in unison. Writing in the dead-tree edition, Kilgore used phrases like "incredibly violent"and "vicious hacks," phrases normally reserved for the Nats Park press corps.

Nationals Enquirer already has video of the swing, and the hyperventilating reaction it caused in at least one observer. Chris rightly observes that the narrator is doing a passable Rob Dibble impersonation, though he forgot to scream "Get up!" at the flying baseball.
