Brooks Laichs's workout video

By Dan Steinberg

Here's Brooks Laich, doing a commercial for local exercise equipment dealer Fitness Resource. The ad, sent to me by Reader Reuven, was apparently shot in Laich's house in Arlington. This is not exactly like Alex Ovechkin flying to Miami to do a spot for CCM.

"Welcome to my would-be dining room, converted to a workout room," Laich tells the camera. "Instead of a dining room table, I have workout gear."

The other thing I learned watching this: the Octane elliptical machines are apparently super rugged, and can survive a beating when working out really hard.

"Hoouse." Heh-heh . . .

(sorry - I clearly don't know very many Western Canadians. And yes, I watched the thing: fanboy, exposed.)

There is nothing wrong with having a man-crush. That is why the term was invented. It is perfectly acceptable, especially when it comes to Brooks Laich
