D.C.'s best uniforms

By Dan Steinberg

Vote, or whatever.

And now, a whole heck of a lot more links about uniforms.

* Uniwatch has the definitive take, which needs to be read in full. The summary:

Overall: Not bad, but not as good as it could be. And definitely not as good as it would have been if they'd gone with the script. I suppose you could say it's good enough, but I see it as a blown chance to do something special, and therefore stupid.

* Ian Koski focuses on the changes to the team's primary logo. I think the new logo is a billion times better, though it does kind of remind me of the Dave & Buster's logo.

* Miss Chatter has funny fashion show photos.

* William F. Yurasko on the primacy of the Curly W:

The Nats are pushing the curly W as the main logo for the franchise. As a fan of the curly W, I'm on board with that, though they probably should have kept the interlocking DC logo on something. The DC insignia has always had some cachet amongst Washingtonians and I think the team erred by mothballing it, even though the curly W looks better.

And some runway video from MASN.

The logo now looks like Dave and Busters. The last one looked like Fuddruckers. Can't wait til the next one looks like Applebees

Gold pants should/would be the runaway favorites, but I suspect the Caps jerseys will win by default. Closets of Manassas rejoice!

The interlocking DC should still be used.

The Nats curly W is exactly the same as Walgreen's curly W -- even the same color. What more need be said?

Not a big fan of hockey but the Caps jerseys are awesome

The curly W is fine, but what happened to putting the name, "Nationals," on the jerseys...either on the front or the back? When talking about our team, we don't say, "The Ws"! We say, "Nationals" or "Nats"!

D.C. United needs to get some integrity and reduce the size of the VW logo and increase the size of the D.C. United logo so that It is the larger one. Currently they are the VW team - which is not a good way to build an identity.
