Ovechkin scores, Caps fan does John Wall Dance

A dear friend and trusted mentor of mine has suggested that D.C. sports fans simply do not care when sports stars, pop culture icons or random citizens perform the John Wall Dance. He thinks I am actually the only person who cares about this.
That may be. Nonetheless, the first rule of blogging is to write what you care about, so I press on. (The second rule, if you're curious, is to load up on coffee and McDonald's hash browns once a week.)
After Alex Ovechkin scored Thursday night, the camera briefly focused on this gent here. You can't completely tell by this image, but trust me, the video makes plain that he was attempting to perform the John Wall Dance in his 0.5 seconds of screen time. Watch below, at the :55 mark. That's via @7ML.
And if that doesn't do it for you, you could always watch wide receiver Cedric Rowland of the Benedictine University Eagles do a mean John Wall Dance on the football field.

That guy pisses me off because he's always staring at the camera for just about every goal, but even worse is the camera guy supports him.

Haha I like it.
That guy has a great seat, the camera shows him after every goal. But he's enthused so that's a great thing.

For some reason, whenever that guy shows up on every broadcast multiple times, I want to frickin' vomit. It's like that baby who keeps getting dangled in view of the cameras during the game-ending interview on the bench. Thanks, Steinz, for making this guy a little more important than he makes himself out to be.

Your dear friend must have just been trying to give you a hard time because I have YET to meet someone around here who didn't love all things John Wall Dance. My sister had a baby last night and I took a picture of my brother-in-law holding his baby and guess what he did? THE JOHN WALL!!!!!!!!!! Best picture I've ever taken
