Nick Young's postgame, in images
As you've no doubt heard by now, Nick Young had a career night on Tuesday, exploding for 43 points, a full 10-spot better than his previous career high.
As you've no doubt guessed, this led to some pleasing images, which I'll hereby publish for your amusement.
We'll let the image above speak to Young's play, which included, for him, a modest 22 shots. Also, check out Francisco Garcia's tongue.
After the game the true fun began, with Young taking off his jersey, placing it at center court and bowing to the crowd. This was, of course, the move made famous by Gilbert Arenas in L.A. And it's not a card you can play very many times. Young, apparently, has no immediate plans to go for another 43.
No one seems to have an image of the mid-court bow, but Young evidently miscalculated, since he was almost immediately forced to do a post-game interview with no shirt on. He kept tugging this towel tightly around his torso to compensate. That's modesty.
When it was over, though, he still seemed pretty happy. He also told the story about his dad requesting 40 points before the game, although this version had a special twist.
"I had to give it to him, or he was gonna try to come down on me with a belt," Young said.
Then it was to the locker room, where Young said the basket looked like a hula hoop, and where he put in his earrings. They were large. And bright.
And then it was back outside the locker room for yet another interview, during which he clutched the game ball throughout. He was bringing it home, naturally. Oh, and by this point, he had also been traded to the Redskins.
