Strasburg says he's in "best shape of my life"

Stephen Strasburg appeared during halftime of CBS College Sports Network's San Diego State basketball broadcast on Wednesday night, from which we learned three things.
1) His rehab is going well, and he's three or four weeks away from beginning to throw.
"I'm definitely in the best shape of my life," Strasburg told Ted Robinson. " Once you start throwing, it's gonna be a long process just getting your strength back, but I feel great about it and I have a really good feeling that I'm gonna come back at 100 percent....The surgery's down to a science, and you've just got to do what the doctors tell you."
2) He can smile during interviews. Repeatedly. Genuinely. Mirthfully. Abe Lincoln beard notwithstanding.
3) He's hosting a charity 5k run/walk this Saturday. Really. No, really. I'm serious. It's got his name on it. It's to raise money for Aztec baseball. It's this weekend. The Stephen Strasburg 5k Walk and Fun Run. This weekend. A charity run. And walk. It'll be fun.

In reality, Steve's just counting down the days until he is no longer with the Natinals.
He'll sign with the O's soon enough and will win Cy Young's year after year.

Clearly it was the constant stalking by Sheinin that was making Strasburg so surly last summer.

Toward the end of the video the announcer takes his left elbow and 'hits' Strasburg's surgically repaired right elbow. Great move on that guys part! (not)

Can't wait until he's throwing bbs again. Nothing like a baseball story in January. DC is ready to rock when you get back Steve!

P00PY,
No one is going to win Cy Youngs in that playpen. Home run titles, maybe; pitching awards, no.
