Brett Haber on Daniel Snyder

By Dan Steinberg

Now, I'm not a PR professional, nor am I a lawyer. I don't know exactly what makes a good PR move, or a good legal move, and what makes a bad PR move, or a bad legal move.

But this is why I'd tend to think that Dan Snyder dredging up a three-month old Washington City Paper story by filing a lawsuit against the paper was not the greatest of all PR moves: because the issue became the lead story of WUSA's Thursday evening broadcast, with the reporter mentioning how Snyder once sued fans, and banned signs from FedEx Field, and removed trees that blocked his view of the Potomac, complete with two anti-Snyder quotes from fans. Those weren't things that any media organization in this town were talking about last week at this time.

And if that wasn't enough, the second item from WUSA's Thursday night broadcast was a commentary from the station's sports director, Brett Haber. Now, I haven't been in this market forever, but my impression is that the local sports anchors have generally been a pretty sympathetic chorus for Redskins leadership. If this is sympathy, my name is Dan McKenna. Haber's commentary:

"In the past, Daniel Snyder has been brash, impatient and even capricious in his management of the Redskins, but that was his prerogative -- after all, it's his team. But the lawsuit against the Washington City Paper goes beyond that. It is a classic case of bullying, and a man stepping on the First Amendment rights of a legitimate news organization because he doesn't like what they say about him.

"Those who've reviewed Snyder's case find his claims of slander to be little more than trumped-up charges over a farcically written opinion piece. This isn't Russia. You don't get to stifle what the media says just because it paints you in a negative light.

"But even more repugnant is the fact that Snyder has threatened to use his wallet to intimidate the newspaper into backing down. In a letter to the newspaper's owners, Snyder's lawyer, David Donovan, said, "Mr. Snyder has more than sufficient means to protect his reputation....We presume that defending such litigation would not be a rational strategy for (you because)...the cost of litigation would quickly outstrip the asset value of the Washington City Paper." In other words, you can't afford to defend this lawsuit, we're richer than you, so fire the author and give up. To their credit, the City Paper has no plans to do either.

"But most offensive of all is Snyder's reckless claim of anti-Semitism, saying that the newspaper's cover-art, showing Snyder with horns and a mustache, invokes longstanding anti-Jewish imagery. Well, speaking as a Jew, that's baloney. Moreover, it's an opportunistic and self-serving accusation that minimizes the real pain suffered by legitimately aggrieved Jews throughout the world. As the City Paper correctly points out, the cover suggests a child's scribblings across a photo of Snyder. It doesn't portray him ant-Semitically; it portrays him as a figurative devil, and that's legitimate. And oh, by the way, the cover artist and the editor who approved it are both Jewish.

"Snyder doesn't like the fact that people don't like him and say unflattering things about him. And he's discovering that, unlike other areas of his life and career, throwing money at the problem won't fix it. The truth that Snyder fails to grasp is that the only way to stop being portrayed as such an unlikable figure is to stop acting like one."

Now that's a strong commentary. And it's not coming from some two-bit blogger. With all due respect, it's not coming from an alt-weekly writer, either. It's coming from the sports director of one of D.C.'s four major television networks, which still have clout over a sizable demographic in this town. If I were a PR person or a lawyer, I would think that this is a situation maybe I'd rather have avoided. I guess that's why I'm just a blogger.

Anyhow, kudos to Haber on this one.

I don't think throwing money at it has worked for any of Snyder's problems, as far as business or football management goes.

Slow clap for Haber. That was epic.

Huh... what do you know? There is something Dan Snyder does worse than how he runs his football team.

Apparently the only thing better than being an overpaid Redskins free-agent is to be one of Dan Snyder's overpaid PR advisers. Well... almost.

Makes you wonder how the heck this guy ever got rich in the first place. Has he ever hired anyone - anywhere, in any business - that has actually worked out?

Coaches, pseudo general managers, free-agents, Tom Cruise, the guy who told him to buy Six Flags, his PR firm, ANYONE? EVER?

Dan Snyder can't sell the Redskins. It's one of the few enterprises in all the World that is totally idiot-proof. Something he has proven over and over, and yet again today.

Should Steingberger reveal that he is a personal and a profesional friend of Dan McKenna?

As for Brett Haber, well he lost me on his last conclussion to this paragraph:

Snyder's lawyer, David Donovan, said, "Mr.

How does he concludes that Snyder said: " ... fire the author ... "? I don't see it on the lawyer's letter which Haber uses to back up his points.

Now, I know Snyder has made many mistakes - hiring and believing on Cerrato the biggest one - but this guy has thrown good money way with the best intentions from real bad advices from his hired people - i.e. Cerrato, Gibbs, the maid and his gardner for all I know - and the crazy and unreazonable fans blame him for all of that. Well, it is his money and as a fan it is ridiculous to think that he has purposely destroyed the team, after all, he is a succesful busineman and it would not be to interest to have a bad team. The article on that newpaper had no value at all, other than to try to demonize Snyder more, as if that was possible. I know that if someone wrote hateful and hurtful things without any purpose or value that I would be talking to a lawyer and demanding some retraction. So. Yeah! I hope Snyder wins this one, I am tired of lazy reporters who are only looking for sensational or trailer trash stories to print. And, really. Does anyone really watch Haber?

"Well, speaking as a Jew, that's baloney."

Ha. Made me laugh.

Can't wait until the few Danny-Boy "defenders" show up to tell us why Steinberg, Haber, USA9, City Paper, McKenna, MOST Redskin fans, etc. are just completely wrong in their view of Danny-Boy.

They'll tell us how he gives millions of turkeys away at Thanksgiving, how he helps cure Hep-B, how his smile turns pollution into roses and butterflies, how Danny-Boy pulled Britney Spears back up from out of the gutter, etc. Basically telling us how Danny-Boy is a really good dude, just misunderstood by so many.

Yeah, can't wait for that kind of nonsense to be posted (and we know of a few hardcore Danny-Boy defenders around these parts)..................

* I would also like to note that it is my hope that this posting does not bring litigation upon me by Danny-Boy and/or any of his top-flight law team.

True Skins fans should loudly jeer this latest fiasco by TyDannasaurus and publicly flog his image. Wear a cardboard cut-out of his altered face to games, practices, Fedex concerts and court hearings. Keep this story alive. . Put this image in the nation's consciousness much like Savage Love did with the coined definition of Santourum ( http://www.spreadingsantorum.com/ ). In a perfect world, if enough people denounce him and call for a change in ownership... Nice dream but I guess it's easier in Cairo.

While I'm in no way defending Dan Snyder, the only person who ACTUALLY called for Dave McKenna's job was Paul Farhi in his WaPo article.

In fact, I think Dan Snyder would have an easier time suing the Post for Farhi's misleading article and headline than trying to sue the City Paper.

@hock1 - clearly you are not paying attention. Steinberg has pointed out that he is a friend and former neighbor of mckenna about 150 times on this blog. any regular reader is WELL aware of that fact and it has never been anything that steinberg has tried to hide.

it is amazing to me that after all these years under snyder rule, there are still people that follow him blindly. though clearly not on the same level, its kindof like the iraqis that followed saddam or even the current egypt situation (again, nowhere near the same level)...i think some people like hock1 are afraid of snyder....why?

Still can't figure out where a lawsuit is worthy in this case. We have all heard these stories over the years. Haven't seen the selling beer in the mens bathroom or didn't know about the old peanuts deal. So this article was basically just going over old junk from the past. Hopefully he is learning how to run a NFL team by trial and error and will maybe learn sometime soon.

"Mr. Snyder has more than sufficient means to protect his reputation," said the Nov. 24 letter, which was written by David Donovan, the Redskins' chief operating officer and general counsel, and posted on City Paper's Web site Wednesday afternoon. "We presume that defending such litigation would not be a rational strategy for an investment fund such as yours. Indeed, the cost of litigation would presumably quickly outstrip the asset value of the Washington City Paper."

So now that David Donovan has played the 'He has deep pockets for paying my fees' card, obviously he expects the defendant to grovel and ask what it would take to call off the suit. Will it be money (I guess Danny Boy wants to start recouping #92's wasted money from other sources) or someone's head?

Don't give in to these bully tactics as exemplified by the Donovan and Snyder lawsuit. Maybe some disgruntled and mad at the Redskins big name lawyer or law firm will take the case pro-bono and help the City Paper fight the suit. Ideally all the bad and negative publicity that is now resulting from this will cause Donovan and Snyder to rethink their suit and call it off. Then they can go back to doing what they do best, continue to mess up the franchise.

To HOCK1, so far as whether Dan Steinberg is a friend of Dave McKenna or not, he's not saying anything that anybody with a brain and heart (that would be tens of thousands of others, perhaps not you) who would not know McKenna if the walked in to them are saying.

Snyder is a world class jerk, with a Napoleonic (small-man) problem. He told a contractor at the stadium that the guys with their baseball hats on backwards, or their sunglasses pulled up on their heads to either turn the hats around and wear the sunglasses in front of their eyes, or leave.

Another time he supposedly went to pick up his child from a party and the host stuck out this hand to shake and said something like "Hey Dan, come on in." Snyder said "Its' Mr. Snyder."

He has earned all the grief he gets ten fold. DICK Snyder would be a better name.

Posted by: tojo45 | February 4, 2011 8:25 AM | Report abuse

I don't like Snyder as a person and after re-reading that McKenna article it hits as deep towards hating a sports owner as I have seen.

I don't know what motivated McKenna to write it but if he put un-truths in there to further drive home his point then Dan probably should stand up and fight the Press so it puts everyone else on notice that if you cross the line by writing "lies" than I am coming after you.

This isn't going away any time soon.

Posted by: dbunkr | February 4, 2011 8:43 AM | Report abuse

Bret Haber is doing the exact same thing that everyone else does.. Riding the pony. Why does it take something like this for you to all the sudden talk or respond to anything that has to do with Mr. Snyder. If your so strong about your feelings, what took you so long. Or is this a way for you to boost your weak sports show.

Mr. Snyder should be pissed!!!!! Let's take you and your news crew and talk how bad your sports reporters are, but in fact still keep your job. Your an average guy looking to get noticed. That's the only reason reporters ever do what they do. It's your job to get noticed so you can advance, have a better career, make more money etc.

Once again, those who can't do what others have done, or have the skill to go out and create a multi-billion dollar company in his 20's or buy a professional sports franchise in his early 30's is much harder than the little reporting, and bad reporting at that you do each day.

Stop trying to ride the horse to get a prize. The majority of reporters could care less about what they say and what the truth is more than getting the public to fall for bad, useless, dry information that has nothing to do with anything. Why wasn't that reporter writing about finding a way to help our youth or school systems.

Why hasn't this reporter come out if he's so proud of his article. Why is he hiding behind his boss.... COWARD!!!! Most reports will always have a motive to the story other than the truth. Be a man Mr. Reporter and face up to what you wrote to the public if your so proud of your article. Otherwise stop trying to use others to get some extra cheese... If your weak minded and don't know how to establish a company, start your own paper etc, maybe you should ask Dan for advise. Oh!, and Bret, as far as his money!!

Don't be jealous buddy for what you can never have or achieve in this life. You will always be small time wanting to be big time!! Your not even on ESPN. Matter a fact , your not even on ComcastSportsNet. I guess your response is.. I'm happy where i am and it's not about the money!! Yeah Right!! I just don't think you received that phone call yet. Just a thought!!

Stop attacking those you could never be. Stop going after athlete's, owners, business men and women, politicians because you want to make some extra cheese.

Report sports or any other story without the drama. Your the drama MEDIA JERKS, not the other way around. Remember these people have families, kids, etc. How would you like me to go to your kids schools, tell all their friends something that would make it extremely hard for your kid to function at that school. I bet it wouldn't be so cool... Be responsible and stop thinking about you!!

Start helping the people instead of boring the people with news that will never be worth anything to anyone.

Redskin fans are Dudley Moore, and we have been tricked over and over again by the Danny, Who seems happy to sell jerseys and club seat tickets to the Dudley Moore's of the world, and leaves us all writhing in agony with a joke of a football team - and we are stuck with the situation in perpetuity.

First of all, as to whether Danny and his minions ever called for McKenna to be fired, just because it's not the Donovan letter doesn't mean it didn't happen. There were prior discussions, which are evident from the stories.

Second, I cannot believe that Dave Donovan put the "we have the cash" argument in his letter to the CP's owner. That isn't something that any responsible attorney would EVER put in writing, not in something that's admissable. It SCREAMS of bad motive. You might SAY that in settlement discussions, but you would never write it down.

Danny's either getting bad legal advice, or he's disregarding good legal advice.

Answers:

1. A well regarded sports reporter.
2. Possibly because he believe in both freedom of speech and freedome of the press
3. You probably mistyped, but he can file any charges he wants.
4. His legal team specifically stated in the letter that the monetary sum involved would be more than what the City Paper is worth. That's bullying.
5. They're not incapable, but given that the managing editor, and the artist at the City Paper are Jews, the writer of this blog post is a Jew, the subject of this blog post is a Jew, (and hey hey, I'm a Jew!) a trend seems to be a emerging, since none of us percieved anti-semitism.

@Kevin Olson: Well said, sir!

@hock1: You do realize that the article in question merely rehashes the doings of Mr. Snyder himself, and his respective organizations, don't you? Snyder brought everything written on to himself. All of it was public knowledge, and the article conveniently consolidated it. If Snyder doesn't want "hateful and hurtful things" published, he shouldn't be engaging in such activities.

And I love all of Lil' Danny $nyder's sock puppets defending the indefensible. Haber is right. The conlcusions Lil' Danny draws in his lawsuit are ludicrous. For all the money he spent on that junk lawsuit, he could have gotten a 1L to do a far superior job. For free.

And he's going to give any money he receives to the homeless. Laughable.

Oh, and by the way, Haber is right. $nyder's Scheister is threatening the paper - either fire McKenna or we'll sue you into oblivion. Even a child could reach that conclusion, but obviously not Lil Danny's sandbox playmates that come here to defend him.

Dude, as much as we all would like to dance, sing and ride unicorns to usher in the Age of Aquarius together in a perfect world, it ain't gonna happen. And sorry to say this, but people are who they are. They don't normally change.

Case in point: Snyder's wife is a cancer survivor. He gives to charities that help fight cancer. You would figure he would have sympathy for those with the disease right? Wrong.

My father was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2006. He had 3 years left on his Club seat contract. He called the team and told them he needed to get out of the contract due to the fact that he was about to under go treatment that could last a year and could ultimately prove to not save his life. Was there sympathy from the team? No. They said he can't get out of the contract. When asked what would happen if he died during his battle with the disease, the team informed him that they would SUE HIS ESTATE for damages and the remainder of the balance on his club seat contract.

My father, to his credit, didn't take to the media like I encouraged him to do. He wanted no part of that while he fought for his life. Eventually, as many of us know, my father wasn't the only one treated in such a despicable way. The WP report that came out detailing many others being threatened with lawsuits for not paying or trying to get out of owning tickets summed this practice up for the public to dissect and review.

So if you blindly want to follow this jerk Snyder, be my guest. But once you listen to the true stories, and experience horrible situations first hand, and see one terrible and heartless action after another, you have to start believing that this is the norm with this guy, not the exception.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...its a freaking duck! Its not a chicken. And no matter what he is, he doesn't care about anyone but himself.

My father is still battling his disease and we no longer go to games. I watch on TV, but no one in my family will buy anything Redskins until Dan sells the team.

I applaud Mr. McKenna, Mr. Steinberg, Mr. Weingarten and Mr. Haber.

I also have to apologize to Jews every where. I have drawn devil horns and goatees on many a picture. I am apparently anti-Semetic. I didn't know. I am sorry.

I agree with these guys who say that: "Rather than letting the matter go, Snyder opted to pursue a tactic similar to one he uses with running his football team -- tinker with things and make them worse."

I agree with these guys who say that: "Rather than letting the matter go, Snyder opted to pursue a tactic similar to one he uses with running his football team -- tinker with things and make them worse."

Maybe if about 250,000 Redskin's fans storm Redskin's Park throwing rocks and Molitov cocktails while riding camels, Dan Snyder will sell the team?

But they won't come out and win, that's the issue. The above sentiment has been in place for over a decade, when will you wise up? They will never win under the current owner, thus the pissed off fans.

How about this. Dave McKenna resigns from the City Paper, so the Evil Idiot's suit goes away, saving the City Paper. Then, the Post hires him fulltime to replace J Reid. Even the Evil Idiot isn't stupid enough to take on the Post, and McKenna could continue to report on all of the ridiculous crap the Evil Idiot is doing to ruin the team.

And quickly, to those of you who say "Snyder is a good businessman, he will figure out how to run the team." Do you realise that he sold Snyder Communications at the peak of the tech bubble when anyone with an internet start-up was being flown to Wall street on a private jet? The value of Snyder Communications a few years later, after the crash? Exactly $0. He was lucky, and that is it.

I think this ought to put an end to the Steinbrenner comparisons. Steinbrenner was a egotistical jackass, who spied on his own players. But, he wasn't afraid to take on the press directly and personally. Hard to believe Snyder thought this would work legally, or as a public relations move.

Steinbrenner was a regular guy, at least in some ways. He used to sponsor a pro track team. He wasn't always in his box and insulated from fans. I sat on the same bleacher, broiling in the sun, watching a track meet one time, and Steinbrenner did the same.

Snyder seems to have a different role model when it comes to dealing with the press: Mubarak. Except he wants to silence the press with legal fees, rather than clubs.

Nice work Haber!

In the six seasons immediately after Jack Kent Cook died and before Snyder took over, the Skins went 36-59. A 61% winning percentage. In the years since Snyder took over, the Skins have gone 86-106, an 82% winning percentage. And yet I hear all the time about how Snyder ruined a once proud franchise. At least in terms of wins and losses, that is simply not true. A lot of the anti Snyder rhetoric that I see and hear is over-the-top hyperbole, and a result of his obviously terrible skills at public relations. I saw a poll today where Snyder is listed as the worst Washingtonian ever, over people like Nixon, Joe McCarthy, etc. That’s just foolish. I’m NOT a big Snyder fan, but I don’t know if he’s the Devil like so many have portrayed him to be. I’ve heard good stories about Snyder paying to fly players to funerals of family members, donating money to various causes and so forth, but those stories get very little coverage. I'm just saying, I’ve been around long enough to know how the media can pile on, and I understand the pack mentality of people today who believe everything they hear on talk radio. I prefer to think for myself and draw my own conclusions. I'm not a big Snyder fan, but he's not the worse owner in the league, and I refuse to get caught up in the culture of "let's hate this guy's guts," a pastime that so many Americans seem to take such pleasure in these days. Everything in the world is not black or white.

That math is wrong. 86-106 is an 82% winning percentage if you mean they've won 86 out of 106 games. But going 86 and 106 is actually a 44% win percentage.

That's right, of course. I should have written "in the six years after Joe Gibbs left and before Snyder bought the team."

And the math was wrong too, definitely an epic fail as someone pointed out. But, the point remains the same. Snyder's winning percentage is only 44% but in the years before he bought the team and after Gibbs left, their winning percentage was worse than that, only 37%. I can remember Ritchie Petitbone going 4-12 in 1993. Jack Kent Cooke was a great owner, but before that, i.e., before George Allen, the Redskins were terrible for years and years going all the way back to the 40s. I'm just saying, there's this notion that the Skins were always great until Snyder came along. It ain't true. Again, Snyder has not been some great and successful owner. I'll give you a +2 for clarify your statement. And it is true once Gibbs/Beathard left the team did go down hill.

My beef with Snyder has more to do with how he treats people than the actually product he puts on hte field. He actually had the nerve to replace Gibbs as the offensive coordinator with Al Saunders?

He utterly clueless with regards to the sport of football. But he excels at bullying people, see story on what he did to Mike Nolan, Jim Zorn or any other coach here other than Gibbs.

I have zero respect for someone that treats other human beings like crap, and the list of people keeps growing by the day.

And he is nothing better than a two bit con-artist. He lost me when he made it illegal to walk up to Fedex because of "safety concerns". And my opinion of him has gone straight down hill ever since then.

Good points about Snyder's bullying and clueless arrogance. Now the question becomes how will Snyder react to the storm of criticism he's brought down on himself by filing this nuisance lawsuit? He could back off, letting the thing just sort of disappear. Or he could double down, feeling like if he backs off he'll have given in and been humiliated.

Any guesses as to which he'll choose? I'm hoping the former, but I'm fearing the latter, since it seems like the people working for him like Donovan and Wylie are just as heavy-handed as Snyder, and also very unlikely to pull him aside and say, "Big mistake, Dan-o." Unless he drops this soon, it could get really nasty. But maybe he's hoping we all have short memories, and if and when the City Paper goes under from the money spent defending this suit, we won't really care anymore, since we're reacting to this thing as a Redskins/Dan Snyder thing, NOT because we are concerned about the City Paper or the state of journalism.

I guess I'll take a turn swatting the Snyder sock puppet.

For those who can't remember that far back, Pettibone went 4-12 in 1993 with an aging, over the hill team that included the departure of the Hogs. Then in 1994, the skins decided to REBUILD with one of the youngest teams in the league. They were entirely willing to accept a few seasons of losing to BUILD for the future with a new young core. They never handed out 100 million dollar contracts just to push a 4-12 season into a 6-10 season.

Even though JKC died in 1996, and the team was finanically hamstrung while managed by a trust, they continued to BUILD to the best season of the past 19 years in 1999, going 10-6 and making to the divisional playoffs. Although it's included as a year that Snyder owned the team, it technically shouldn't be since he was in no way responsible for the product on the field.

So if you want to really argue that a 7% improvement in winning percentage over a rebuilding team that didn't lavish 100 million dollar contracts on ridiculously overpaid free agents is something to proud of-be my guest. It's still a far cry from the over 60% winning percentage that the Redskins had under JKC overall

Hey Dan did anyone ever tell you that you're the Jon Stewart of DC sports? Well, you are, and I hope you get a TV show one day. (If Wilbon got one, anyone can ;) And for all those who give Dan (Steinberg) a hard time for re-posting others stories and transcribing radio interviews rather than writing 100% "original content," try to remember that journalism is 99% gathering facts and presenting it to the public. If you want to hear a bunch of blabbing turn on Bill O Reilly.
As for (Dan) Snyder, lets hope he keeps this up. Lets hope it gets way, way worse. His letter to the City Paper sounds a whole lot like, I dunno... BLACKMAIL or EXTORTION maybe? Threatening to bankrupt a business to protect his reputation? What is this Boardwalk Empire? Snyder made his threat in public and what's more the letter is signed by the REDSKINS. That's an NFL franchise publicly attempting to blackmail the press. Pleeeeeease keep it up Snyder, because as Ari Gold learned, "the NFL doesn't do scandal." We can only hope that the owners eventually dispense of Snyder like the board of Six Flags did. Unless the fans will stop buying tickets and going to games (EGYPT!) there's no other way to remove the tyrant.

Of course, Haber is just one of many journalists in this area who write and say BS - such as Mike Wilbon and Len Shapiro basically writing that Sean Taylor asked to be murdered due to his "lifestyle" when in fact, Sean was murdered in his own home by intruders he did not even know.

The DC media is making such an insane deal about this simply because the suit is against another local media company - one that does continously slam Snyder - and EVERYONE else. Can't really remember a positive article in the City Paper.

I'd rather him SELL and MOVE the team than have him remain as owner of such a once proud and phenomenal franchise!

"Of course, Haber is just one of many journalists in this area who write and say BS - such as Mike Wilbon and Len Shapiro basically writing that Sean Taylor asked to be murdered due to his "lifestyle" when in fact, Sean was murdered in his own home by intruders he did not even know."

Did Haber really say or imply this? If so, F HIM.

No, Haber never said anything like that. It was just a transparent attempt by the sock puppets to turn public opinion against Haber for having said what he did against Snyder. This sockpuppet implied that Haber's statements were in someway BS and then brought up Sean Taylor's death as an example, knowing the hypersensitive reaction it would cause.

Can we get Dan Snyder and Peter Angelos together to discuss trading franchises ?

Posted by: colezig37 | February 5, 2011 4:33 PM | Report abuse

As a long time Skins fan, as are many of you I'm sure, I can't wait till the curse of The Danny is lifted. Mr. Snyder, you have ruined our once proud franchise. Do all Skins fans a favor and please sell this team, we hate you.

In the six seasons immediately after Jack Kent Cook died and before Snyder took over, the Skins went 36-59. A 61% winning percentage. In the years since Snyder took over, the Skins have gone 86-106, an 82% winning percentage.

Sonny2,

It's clear you rode the short bus to school with the other mentally challenged kids.

The fact that you can't do 4th grade math explains just about everything.

Only a complete MORON would see any redeeming qualities in Little Priick Danny's character.

You are defending the indefensible. I will part with some advice, as it's clear you need lots of it.

It is better to appear a fool then open your mouth and remove all doubt.

And by the way the percentages are this-

37 and 56 record = 37.8%.

86 and 106 record = 44.8%.

Dismal by any standard.

"Dan Snyder is morphing into C. Montgomery Burns.

Posted by: theamazingmouse"

Montgomery Burns is far more educated and self-confident than the cancerous dwarf. Snyder's paid minions on these blogs are an absolute joke and a disgrace to any self-professed Redskins "supporter".

"Dan should refrain from writing about the Redskins. It's obvious that he has a huge bias. How can you take anything he writes about the Redskins serious? They guy has no creditability when it comes to the Skins.

Posted by: Hondo5"

You are one of Snyder's bowel-movement eaters from Extremeskins. The majority of posters see right through you and your paid colleagues. You cannot censor nor ban anyone here, so please go back and form a circle-jerk along with the other supporters of the malignant and pestilential dwarf.

Instead of trying to bully the local media into playing nice, Daniel Snyder should be concerned about a new CBA, his over-zealous coaching staff and their clumsy handling of players, and the Ravens coach, Harbaugh, actively courting Redskins fans for his team! When will this owner and this oraganization get it? Kudos to Dan Haber and GO RAVENS!

Great Job Brett!!

Too bad the other "sportscasters" in DC are way too intimidated to speak the truth about loser Dan.
