Fred Smoot's Super Bowl schedule
You know what the best thing I've learned today is? That Fred Smoot will be tweeting instant Super Bowl analysis on the @CSNWashington account this weekend, using the hashtag #SmootPoints. I want to win seven SmootPoints. No, I want to win 43 SmootPoints. No, I want to win a million billion SmootPoints.
Twitter was invented so that Fred Smoot could hand out SmootPoints during the Super Bowl. Please tell me he'll be grading the Super Bowl ads. And the announcers. And the cheerleaders. And the Comcast SportsNet news personalities. And their hair styles.
Smoot will also be live on Comcast SportsNet's SportsNite Central Sunday evening and Sunday night, and will be back on the network's shows on Monday for post-game analysis.
And in more Redskins news, tell me this isn't about the strangest pairing ever, from the Young Professionals in Foreign Policy Web site:
YPFP is excited to host its first fundraiser of 2011. In partnership with George, a premier venue for private events in Washington, YPFP will be hosting a date raffle on February 3, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Special guest Clinton Portis, Washington Redskins running back, will announce the dates at the end of the evening.
Guests will have the opportunity to win a date and $100 restaurant gift certificate with one of the 8 participants:
If Portis was only handing out SmootPoints to the winners, the night would be perfect.

"And the cheerleaders."
I thought both the Packers & the Steelers were cheerleader-less.

A fact which, I assume, will net negative SmootPoints.
