Nick Young's Afro is incredible

By Dan Steinberg

Back in September, Nick Young promised to grow out his hair in an interview with Wizards.com.

"I told myself I ain't never really had braids or a pony tail or a big Afro, so I'm gonna try to do it," he said then.

Who would have imagined the end result. Well, I shouldn't say end. I have no idea how this will end. It could possibly end with Nick Young's Afro blotting out the sun. We'll just have to wait and see.

These images are via the Wizards Web site and The Post's Toni L. Sandys, although the best image from the weekend might be the one below, featuring Al Thornton about to throw down. I just can't get enough of the guy in the background who has seen the future, and knows that it's nasty and harrowing and possibly life-scarring for Zaza.

I believe the young man with the arrow also performs as a member of the Nats Pack during the summer. He's a very animated fellow.

I hope he keeps growing that afro. Maybe it wil get tall enough that shooters cant see over it and young will then be a decent defender.

The guy pointed at has become a staple at Wizards games. Please write a story on that guy plus another story on "Fan Man" (who has disappeared from the Verizon Center).

Back in Sept. NY promised to grow hair...for whom???? Certainly not for me...nobody really cares so why mention it....

Just goes to show how immature he was then and still is...instead of concentrating on hair style, how about concentrating on playing better defense??? Long or short hair, an 8 game losing streak coupled with a 24 game road losing streak requires more dedication to your JOB....
