Blue and Orange Line delays

Mark Berman

8:40 A.M. UPDATE:
Delays continue on the Blue and Orange Lines.

8:10 A.M. UPDATE:
The malfunction at Foggy Bottom has been resolved, but the Blue and Orange Line delays continue in both directions.

Delays on the Blue and Orange Lines due to a track malfunction at the Foggy Bottom station. The delays are in both directions, and trains are sharing the same track between Foggy Bottom and Arlington Cemetery as well as between Foggy Bottom and Clarendon.

Orange line needs to be all 8 car trains.

This is ridiculous. Nearly every morning over the past few weeks there have been major issues, including this morning.

More than an hour on a usual 15 minute ride. And they want to charge an even higher fare.

Why could they not have told us about the single tracking. They just kept saying there was a disruption ahead and delays. And then at least 3 different sick passengers, including the train I was on. I was on the train for 1 hour and 25 minutes from Vienna to Metro Center. And for this Metro wants an additional $2 per day from me?

I wonder how many of the sick passengers got that way because of the overheated, overcrowded, lurching trains.

Pull a Regan and fire all Metro employees.
