Delays tonight on Va. Beltway
Drivers should expect
delays on the Capital Beltway at the Telegraph Road interchange Thursday night as ramp and multiple lane closures take place in both directions.
Beginning at 10 p.m., crews will narrow the roadway to one lane on both loops of the Beltway as concrete is placed on the new ramp from the Outer Loop to Telegraph Road North. Work is expected to be complete by 5 a.m. Friday.
Motorists were warned by project officials to expect back-ups and consider alternate routes to avoid delays. They suggested that travelers passing through on I-95 should consider traveling via the western portion of the Capital Beltway.
The work is part of the Wilson Bridge construction project.
