Expect delays on New Hampshire NE
District officials report that drivers should expect significant backups on New Hampshire Avenue NE near the D.C./Maryland line this afternoon. Only one outbound lane in the vicinity of the 6100 block will be open.
This area is in the vicinity of the bridge that overlooks the site of the June 22 Red Line crash. Families of victims of the crash had planned to install memorial items on the fence overlooking the site where one Red Line train rammed another last year in the deadliest accident in Metro's history.
