Person falls onto Anacostia tracks
Update 12p.m.: The incident did not cause Metrorail delays, spokesman Reggie Woodruff said. The victim, who was male, was transported to a hospital.
Original post: A person fell from the Metro platform onto the tracks at Anacostia station this morning, Metro said. Officials received a report at 9:45 that a person had accidentally fallen onto the trackbed and sustained non-life threatening injuries. The person was conscious and responsive. Medics are on the scene, said Metro spokesman Reggie Woodruff.
DC EMS official Pete Piringer said the victim is now on the platform.
