Opening of Lorton DMV delayed
The new DMV customer service center at Gunston Plaza won't open as scheduled Monday, according to state officials.
Because of constructions delays, the center, which replaces the Springfield Mall location, will open on Tuesday, July 6. (The location at Springfield Mall closed on June 23). In the interim, customers can conduct transactions online, used the automated phone service (888-337-4782), visit the Franconia location (6306 Grovedale Dr.) or the Alexandria center (2681 Mill Rd.)
