I-395 North slow at 14th St Bridge

Mark Berman

Here's a roundup of what's impacting commuters this morning:

8:35 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident is blocking one of the I-95/Outer Loop shoulders just north of Landover Road/MD 202.

-- I-95 North/the Beltway is congested near Eisenhower Avenue.

-- I-395 North is still slow at the 14th Street Bridge and King Street.

8:15 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The delays are much the same in Northern Virginia: I-395 North is a slog at the 14th Street Bridge and King Street, while I-66 East is crawling at Nutley Street.

-- I-495 North might be slow heading towards the Little River Turnpike because of an accident. The right shoulder is blocked.

7:50 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The lanes have reopened on I-395 North, but things are still very backed up at King Street.

-- There are also backups on I-395 North at the 14th Street Bridge.

-- I-66 East is congested at Nutley street.

7:25 A.M. UPDATE:

-- Adding to the fun on I-395 North this morning, an accident is blocking the left lane and left shoulder just before King Street.

-- I-95 South/the Beltway is slow around the Telegraph Road exit.

-- I-395 North is very backed up from King Street back to the Springfield Interchange.

-- The B.W. Parkway southbound lanes have reopened south of the Beltway.

6:35 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident on B.W. Parkway/MD 295 South just after the Beltway is blocking both southbound lanes and a southbound shoulder.

6:15 A.M. UPDATE:

-- Pennsylvania Avenue has reopened in both directions at Forestville Road. Some residual delays might linger, so if you are heading out in the next 30 minutes or so, you should still consider Suitland Parkway.

-- Kenilworth Avenue has also reopened all southbound lanes at Pontiac Street. Again, some delays might linger.

-- I-95 North is very backed up at Occoquan.

-- Pennsylvania Avenue is blocked in both directions at Forestville Road. This is due to police activity stemming from the early morning shooting of a Maryland state police officer. You should avoid the area if at all possible. It's just west of where Pennsylvania Avenue reaches the Beltway; if you can utilize it, a good alternate route is the Suitland Parkway.

-- All southbound lanes of Kenilworth Avenue/MD 201 are blocked at Pontiac Street due to an accident this morning. This is just south of where Kenilworth Avenue and Greenbelt Road intersect.
