I-495 North lane blocked at 50

8:35 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident on I-495 North at Arlington Boulevard is blocking the left lane.

-- I-66 East is very slow at the Beltway.

-- I-495 North is already pretty backed up at I-66, so that southwest stretch of the Beltway could be a headache.

-- I-395 North is still crawling at the 14th Street Bridge.

8:15 A.M. UPDATE:

-- There are very similar delays right now: I-66 East is slow at Nutley, I-395 North is crawling at the 14th Street Bridge.

7:55 A.M. UPDATE:

-- I-66 East is very, very backed up at Nutley Street.

-- I-495 North is very slow leading to I-66.

-- I-395 North is still congested at a few spots (King Street and Duke Street), but the most significant backups are at the 14th Street Bridge.

7:30 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The accident on I-95 South at John Hanson Highway has been cleared.

-- I-395 North is very slow at the 14th Street Bridge, King Street and Duke Street.

-- I-95 North is still jammed up at Lorton Road.

7:05 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The accident on the Outer Loop after Kenilworth Avenue is now just blocking one of the shoulders.

-- An accident on I-95 South at John Hanson Highway is blocking two southbound lanes.

-- I-395 North is still a slog at King Street and the 14th Street Bridge.

-- I-495 North is also crawling at Gallows Road.

6:40 A.M. UPDATE:

-- I-66 East is very slow at Sudley Road and Nutley Street.

-- I-95 North is congested at Lorton Road.

-- I-395 North is crowded and slowing down at the 14th Street Bridge and Duke Street.

-- An accident on I-95/Outer Loop to the north of Kenilworth Avenue/MD 201 is blocking one of the Outer Loop lanes and the Outer Loop right merge lane.

6:15 A.M. UPDATE:

-- I-66 East is very backed up at Sudley Road.

-- An accident on I-495/Inner Loop at I-95 in Prince George's County is blocking one of the shoulders on the Beltway.

The roads seem quiet thus far as another week gets underway. It's going to be hot and sunny today, continuing a trend from the last few days. This post will be updated throughout the morning rush with things commuters need to know, so keep your eyes here as you prepare to head out.
