I-495 N slow at I-66

Another day, another chance to venture into the blistering summer heat. Even though it's slightly cooler out there today (the relative cold of the mid-90s!), it's still not going to be a comfy commute for anybody. Here are the headaches and snafus on the road today (this post will be updated):
8:40 A.M. UPDATE:
-- I-395 North is still sluggish at the 14th Street Bridge and Duke Street.
-- I-495 North is still crawling at I-66.
8:10 A.M. UPDATE:
-- The traffic on I-495 North heading to I-66 is even worse.
-- The left lane on I-395 North has reopened at Washington Boulevard.
7:45 A.M. UPDATE:
-- I-495 North is very congested leading to I-66.
-- I-395 North is still sluggish at the 14th Street Bridge, while one lane remains blocked at Washington Boulevard.
-- I-66 East is congested at Chain Bridge Road.
7:15 A.M. UPDATE:
-- I-395 North is getting very, very crowded at the 14th Street Bridge and Duke Street.
-- I-495 North is slowing down at Gallows Road.
6:55 A.M. UPDATE:
-- The left lane of I-395 North is still blocked at Washington Boulevard.
-- An accident on I-495/Outer Loop before University Boulevard in Maryland is blocking both Outer Loop shoulders.
6:30 A.M. UPDATE:
-- A disabled vehicle on I-395 North at Washington Boulevard is blocking the left lane and left shoulder.
-- The I-95 North lane has reopened at Cherry Hill Road.
ORIGINAL POST:
-- One lane of I-95 North is blocked at Cherry Hill Road.
-- U Street has completely reopened to all traffic, for anybody who avoided the area after the Great Grease Mess of 2010 yesterday morning.
-- And there are power outages in D.C. and Montgomery County.
