Suitland Pkwy: Lane Blocked

Update: 8:30 AM: A traffic accident has blocked the left, inbound lane of the Suitland Parkway after Stanton Road S.E.

Update: 8:25 AM: The right lane is closed on St. Patrick Street at Gibbon Street in Old Town Alexandria because of a traffic accident.

Update: 8:15 AM: The Capital Beltway at I-66 has been a problem area this morning, but there's some relief. A disabled vehicle, tractor trailer and Metro bus that were blocking the left lanes have all been moved into a construction zone.

Update: 7:50 AM: The Metro bus that was blocking the left lane on I-495 North at I-66 has been cleared. But now a disabled tractor trailer is blocking the left lane around the same area of the Beltway at 66. Motorists should expect delays.

Update: 7:40 AM: A tow truck is preparing to haul the disabled Metro bus blocking the left lane on I-495 North at I-66, according to News Channel 8.

Update: 7:15 AM Wellington Road near Route 28 in Manassas is still closed because of a police stand off.

Update: 7 AM: Traffic lights on 11th St. NW at Fla. Ave. are flashing.

Update: 7 AM: Accident has cleared inbound on New York Avenue. Left lane is open.

Update: 6:40 AM: The left lane is blocked inbound on New York Avenue near Bladensburg Road due to a vehicle accident.

Update: 6:25 AM: Traffic is slow on I-95 North after Dale City due to a disabled pick-up truck.

Update: 6:25 AM: I-395 North is backed up about 1.5 miles in the City of Alexandria. Expect major delays due to congestion.

Update: 6:08 AM:The left lane is closed northbound on the Capital Beltway between Route 50 and I-66 due to a disabled Metro bus. Motorists should expect potential delays.

5:57 AM: A stretch of Wellington Road near Route 28 in Manassas is closed due to police activity, according to News Channel 8.
