Silver Line could be delayed

A tussle between the airports authority and Metro over funding of new railcars, this winter's heavy snowstorms and new internal estimates could mean delays on the Silver Line--even before it opens, reports the Post's Derek Kravitz.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which is overseeing the Silver Line construction, is now projecting Metro's doors will open March 4, 2014 -- a 90-day delay from the official start date in December 2013, he writes on the Virginia Politics blog.

Metro doesn't have enough cars to operate its current lines sufficiently, why in the name of Allah would they want to operate a whole new line?
