Navigating New York Avenue | Map of N.Y. Avenue projects

New York Avenue inbound was fine this morning, until I neared Brentwood Parkway and traffic slowed almost to a halt. I took the opportunity to snap a couple of quick pictures (we were stopped) of some of the construction going on along the stretch just east of Brentwood.

I've always thought that, given the amount of traffic on New York Ave, its name is quite fitting. In contrast is Hawaii Ave, a single block of dreary houses and apartments carved out of North Capitol St.
