New York Avenue inbound was fine this morning, until I neared Brentwood Parkway and traffic slowed almost to a halt. I took the opportunity to snap a couple of quick pictures (we were stopped) of some of the construction going on along the stretch just east of Brentwood.

This is my route everyday. I would tell you how to get around this, but I won't because I don't won't my detour backed up....

I've always thought that, given the amount of traffic on New York Ave, its name is quite fitting. In contrast is Hawaii Ave, a single block of dreary houses and apartments carved out of North Capitol St.
