Suspicious package cleared

11 A.M. UPDATE: Authorities say the entrance has reopened and the package has been cleared. .

10:50 A.M. UPDATE

Expect street closures in the vicinity, too, as police investigate the package. D.C. emergency personnel are on the scene assisting the investigation.

Original post: Metro reports that the 12th and F Street entrance is closed due to a suspicious package outside the station.The G Street entrance is open, officials said.

When I was walking near Sheridan Circle around noon today, all approaches to the Circle were blocked because of a suspicious package. What's up with that incident?
