I-95 North reopens
1 p.m. Update: Traffic cameras show that traffic through the area is moving smoothly.
12:50 p.m. Update: A disabled vehicle at mile marker 163 (in the center lane9 is contributing to the problems on I-95 North, according to VDOT.
Original post: A tractor trailer accident on Interstate 95 in Springfield is causing major delays near mile marker 169 before the Capital Beltway. According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the north left shoulder and left lane are open. Traffic backups extend for three miles. VDOT said.
