Inner Loop lanes closing overnight

If you're planning on using the Beltway tonight, be advised: Emergency deck repairs to an overpass on the Inner Loop (I-95 and I-495 south) beginning between 10 and 11 p.m. will leave just one lane open to the west of Telegraph Road. The right two lanes will be closed just after the exit for Pershing Avenue/Telegraph Road North, while all three lanes will be open before the Eisenhower Connector. The repairs will last for about an hour and are expected to be done by midnight.
Backups are expected for travelers heading into Virginia from Maryland, so avoid the area if possible. Here's one alternate route: Southbound I-95 drivers should take the northwest portion of the Beltway (crossing the Potomac River on the American Legion Bridge).
The surface level asphalt work is due to the overabundance of rainfall received by the area recently. This is the same area where more extensive repairs were undertaken on the bridge earlier this summer.
