ART disruption

7:40 AM: Arlington Transit riders using the route 61 bus should expect delays due to an incident on Queen Street. As a result, a van with a "Forsythe" logo will be picking up riders at designated stops.
6:50 AM: MARC cancellation on the Penn Line: Train 402 that was scheduled to depart at 6:45 a.m. has been canceled due to mechanical problems. The next northbound train will be Train 506, scheduled for 7:12 a.m. Train 414, departing at 7:40 a.m., will operate two cars short due to the mechanical problem on Train 402.
Some good news for Metro rail riders this morning. Two fare increases that were to be in effect Monday have been delayed until Tuesday, reports The Washington Post's Martin Weil.
One increase would have imposed a 20-cent charge for afternoon peak-of-the peak rides. The other increase would have charged paper farecard users 25 cents more than SmarTrip users.
