295 southbound reopens

8:37 p.m. Update: 295 has reopened, according to officials.

7:45 p.m. Update: Southbound 295 remains closed at the Laboratory Road exit, according to the District Department of Transportation, which urges drivers to use alternate routes.

Original post: A three-vehicle accident on 295 southbound near Laboratory Road has the highway blocked, according to District emergency officials.

D.C. Fire/EMS reports that several people have been evaluated for injuries and two have been transported. One vehicle rolled over, authorities said.
