Inner Loop lanes reopen

Mark Berman

10:15 A.M. UPDATE:

The Beltway accidents have been cleared, according to the state departments of transportation.

8:35 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident on I-495 North at Braddock Road is blocking the right center lane, right outside lane and right shoulder.

-- A disabled vehicle is blocking the shoulder on I-95/the Outer Loop before U.S. 50 in Maryland.

8:10 A.M. UPDATE:

Hey, you know what's fun? Looking at the area's traffic cameras to check on congestion. Let's take a stroll through them, shall we?

-- I-395 North is just a mess en route to Duke Street, but things ease up when you reach Seminary Road.

-- The Inner and Outer Loops are actually moving pretty smoothly in the southwest corner of the Beltway.

-- Both the Inner and Outer Loop are fairly slow at Georgetown Pike.

-- The Beltway is pretty clear the rest of the northwestern corner, though there's some bad congestion on I-495 East at Connecticut Avenue.

-- The Inner Loop is also very clogged at New Hampshire Avenue.

-- Both the Inner and Outer Loops are moving, with a bit of congestion, near U.S. 50 in Maryland.

-- Ditto near Pennsylvania Avenue.

-- I-95 North is pretty slow heading to Calverton (and, beyond that, Baltimore).

-- I-270 South is quite backed up as well, so if you're taking that road, expect problems.

Did you hit a bad spot on your trip? Let us (and your fellow commuters) know in the comments below!

7:40 A.M. UPDATE:

-- I-395 North is still pretty slow at Duke Street, though it's not as bad throughout that roadway as it normally is at this time.

7:25 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The Outer Loop accident has been cleared.

-- A disabled vehicle is still blocking the right side of the ramp from I-495 South/the Outer Loop to Braddock Road.

-- I-395 North is crawling at Duke Street.

-- The accident on I-95/the Outer Loop to the north of Landover Road is blocking one of the shoulders.

6:45 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident on I-95/Outer Loop north of Landover Road could slow traffic.

-- A disabled vehicle is still blocking the right side of the ramp from I-495 South/the Outer Loop to Braddock Road.

-- The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory for the area until 5 p.m. [Note: It's a coastal flood advisory, not a flash flood warning as was initially posted.]

6:20 A.M. UPDATE:

-- There is already big congestion on I-95 North in Woodbridge.

-- A disabled vehicle is blocking the right side of the ramp from I-495 South/the Outer Loop to Braddock Road.
