Closure on 23rd St NW

Twenty-third Street NW in Foggy Bottom is closed due to police activity, according to the District Department of Transportation. Expect heavy delays in the area.

Yeah, what the heck happened yesterday? That was a total mess, with no police in sight to help direct traffic and get things moving. The pedestrians only served to make the experience worse. What happened?
