Major Red Line work this weekend

Just a reminder that there will be big, big work on the Red Line this weekend, so please check out this post if you haven't already. The bullet points:
-- Starting Friday at 10 p.m., the Takoma, Silver Spring, Forest Glen, Wheaton and Glenmont stations will be closed until normal service resumes Tuesday at 5 a.m.
-- During the time the stations are closed, Metro will operate free shuttle buses to all stations between Fort Totten and Glenmont.
-- Metro estimates that anyone traveling through the work zone should add 40 minutes to their trips. (Metro's trip planner feature will NOT reflect the time changes caused by the track work, officials said.)
-- Here's a graphic, to give you an idea of what's to come.
But again, check this post for full details on that and other issues over the weekend. And make sure to check back with Dr. Gridlock throughout the weekend for updates on Labor Day adjustments, getting to the Nats game on Monday and other fun.
