Metro bus, SUV collide

Several people reportedly had non-life threatening injuries when a Metro bus and an SUV collided at 7th and Florida Avenues NE about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Metro.
"Preliminary reports that we got were an SUV backed into the bus," said Metro spokeswoman Angela Gates.
Witness Steve Morneau, however, said that the Route 90 Metro bus caught and dragged the SUV as the bus was turning. "The car turned sideways and got spun around," he said. He said he saw four injured people being loaded into an ambulance around 3 p.m.
D.C. Fire/EMS officials said six people were were being evaluated.
