Navy Yard entrance reopens
7:12 p.m. Update: Metro says the entrance has reopened. Emergency officials said it turns out the package wasn't a hazard.
Original post: The New Jersey Navy Yard Metro station entrance is closed as authorities investigate a suspicious package. The emergency comes as baseball fans head to Nationals Park to see the Nats take on the Phillies in the last three games of the season.
The Half Street entrance -- the one closest to Nationals Park -- is open.
Authorities say the suspicious package is located at 1100 New Jersey Avenue SE. The building sits directly across M Street from the Department of Transportation headquarters and is the site of a mixed-use building that contains a CVS and a Five Guys franchise.
