I-66 East backed up

8:30 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The same headaches persist: I-66 East at Nutley Street, I-395 North at several points (the 14th Street Bridge, King Street and Duke Street) and I-495 North leading to I-66.


-- I-66 East remains troubled at Nutley Street. Expect delays, congestion, the usual headaches.

-- I-395 North is sluggish at the 14th Street Bridge, King Street and Duke Street.

-- And I-495 North is slow as you round the southwest bend and head towards I-66.

7:35 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident on N. Capitol and Randolph streets in Northeast is going to cause traffic problems.

7:10 A.M. UPDATE:

-- I-66 East is very slow at Sudley Road and Nutley Street.

6:50 A.M. UPDATE:

-- I-66 East is very packed at Nutley Street.

-- I-395 North is slow before Duke Street and King Street.

6:20 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The roadwork in Maryland has been cleared.

-- I-66 West is backed up on Sycamore Street in Arlington.

-- Roadwork on I-270 North is blocking one local lane and one of the shoulders at Falls Road.

-- Roadwork is also blocking one lane and one of the shoulders on I-95 South at MD 216 in North Laurel.
