Probably Metro won't get back to automatic train control operation until they resolve the "Loss of occupancy detection" issue. For more than a year I have been writing to people I thought should be interested in resolving the problem and offered a solution. However, to date I have not received a reply. If you are interested in details please query the Washington Post using the last 6 characters of my user ID.
