Potential issues in Falls Church

Mark Berman

8:30 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The I-395 North lane has reopened at Washington Boulevard. It's still pretty congested earlier on the roadway and at the 14th Street Bridge.

-- I-66 East is also still backed up at the Beltway.

-- University Boulevard still has one eastbound lane blocked at Dennis Avenue in Silver spring.

-- And one more reminder: An Eid Al-Fitr celebration from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Falls Church might snarl traffic, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. The celebration is occurring at Route 7/Leesburg Pike and Row Street. Add on some extra time to your trip if you're in this area.

8:10 A.M. UPDATE:

-- A tractor trailer accident on I-395 North at Washington Boulevard is blocking the left lane and left shoulder. Considering there are already backups on I-395 North leading towards that spot (exit 8), expect them to get worse.

7:50 A.M. UPDATE:

-- I-395 North remains congested at the 14th Street Bridge and King Street.

-- I-495 North/the Inner Loop is also pretty packed heading towards I-66.

7:25 A.M. UPDATE:

-- I-395 North is simply no fun right now. It's a little backed up at the 14th Street Bridge and very backed up at Seminary Road.

-- Also backed up: I-66 East leading to the Beltway.

7 A.M. UPDATE:

-- Again, a reminder that an Eid Al-Fitr celebration from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Falls Church might snarl traffic, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. The celebration is occurring at Route 7/Leesburg Pike and Row Street. If your morning drive takes you through the area, make sure to add on some extra time to your trip.

6:40 A.M. UPDATE:

-- I-395 North is backed up at the 14th Street Bridge.

-- An accident on I-495 North/the Inner Loop at I-66 is blocking the right shoulder, but there might be potential delays.

6:15 A.M. UPDATE:

-- University Boulevard still has one eastbound lane blocked at Dennis Avenue in Silver spring.

-- A disabled vehicle is on the shoulder of I-66 East at the Beltway, but it could cause some delays.
