Weekend bridge closure canceled
Drivers getting used to the recurring weekend closures of Chain Bridge while it undergoes repairs will get a reprieve this weekend, as officials said the construction won't require a full closure this week as they had planned.
The closures will resume the following week, with the bridge closed to traffic at 8pm on Friday, October 8th and reopening at 5am Monday. The rehabilitation is expected to wrap up in November.
