Chain Bridge open this weekend
The District Department of Transportation says Chain Bridge will remain open this weekend. It had been scheduled to close as part of the bridge rehabilitation project.
The work, which began last year, is now scheduled to be completed in November. Crews have completed surface repairs, but they have been doing structural work under the bridge. DDOT says that there will be additional weekend closures needed, but the dates have not been finalized.

I have yet to see any evdience of the
"completed surface repairs." What exactly did they do to the surface?
When I drive the 14th St Bridge I see the new bridge deck. This is not the case on Chain Bridge.
