Light the Night street closures

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night fundraising walk will be held in downtown D.C. this Saturday. There will be some road closures related to the event throughout the day Saturday (on top of already-announced Metrobus detours).

The following roads will be closed on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 1 a.m. (very early on Sunday, Oct. 17), according to the District Department of Transportation:


  • 13th Street between E Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.

  • Pennsylvania Avenue between 12th and 14th streets, NW.

The following streets are scheduled to close on Saturday starting at 7 p.m. and are scheduled to reopen by 8:00 p.m.:


  • Pennsylvania Avenue, NW - from 12th to 3rd Street, NW

  • 12th Street, NW - from Constitution Avenue to E Street, NW

  • 11th Street, NW - from Pennsylvania Avenue to E Street, NW

  • 10th Street, NW - from Constitution Avenue to E Street, NW

  • 9th Street, NW - from Constitution Avenue to E Street, NW

  • 7th Street, NW - from Constitution Avenue to E Street, NW

  • 6th Street, NW - from Constitution to Indiana Avenue, NW

  • Constitution Avenue, NW - from 7th Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW

  • 4th Street, NW - from Pennsylvania to Constitution Avenue, NW

  • 3rd Street, NW - from Pennsylvania to Constitution Avenue, NW
