Describe your scenic commute

The chill in the air this fall -- okay, it was downright cold last night -- had some of us at Gridlock Central talking recently about our favorite commuting routes. Someone mentioned the drive down the BW Parkway; another person talked about how driving along the GW this time of year can make an interminable slog seem almost bearable.

Others love the view from the Yellow Line riding across the Potomac, or biking down 15th or along the Mall to get to work. Perhaps, it's the view from the VRE train winding its way up from Fredricksburg, or maybe you're lucky enough to just take a stroll down 16th to the office.

What's your favorite route to work this fall? Share a story, or send an e-mail to transportation@washpost.com. You can even send us a photo -- but not while driving, please. Perhaps, you'll even inspire someone to try a new route.
