8:20 A.M. UPDATE:
The delays have been cleared, according to Metro's Web site.

There are delays on the Green Line in both directions due to an earlier train malfunction outside of the Branch Avenue station. The malfunction has been resolved, but there was single-tracking between Branch Avenue and Naylor Road for a time. Delays linger in both directions.
