By Michael Bolden

Holiday and weekend traffic patterns will be in effect for the District on Veterans Day.

Officials with the District Department of Transportation said this includes traffic flow on 16th Street NW, Connecticut Avenue, Canal Road NW and Independence Avenue. According to the National Park Service, holiday patterns also will be in effect on Rock Creek Parkway and Beech Drive.

The National Park Service also plans to close Henry Bacon Drive between 23rd Street and Constitution Avenue for observances at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
