I-270 work postponed till Tuesday
Construction updates | Travel tips l Capital Weather Gang
The Maryland State Highway Administration says that the high winds forecast for tonight have led to postponement of a plan to install a big sign structure over northbound Interstate 270.
The work, which is part of the Intercounty Connector project project, has been rescheduled for Tuesday night, starting at 9 o'clock, weather permitting. Lane closings will occur. After midnight, the lane closings will extend temporarily across all the northbound lanes. Those full closings should last no more than 15 minutes. All lanes are scheduled to be open by 5 a.m. Wednesday.
