North Capitol Street reopens

4:40 p.m. Update: D.C. authorities say the package has been cleared.

Original post: North Capitol Street is closed from Florida Avenue to Michigan Avenue due to police activity. Traffic reporting services indicate there has been a car accident at Michigan Avenue NE. A suspicious package has also been reported.
