By Mark Berman

8:45 A.M. UPDATE:

-- A disabled vehicle is blocking one Outer Loop lane at the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. Expect delays as you approach it from on the Alexandria side of things.

-- I-66 East is pretty congested at the Beltway.

-- The Outer Loop is also very congested in Maryland approaching the American Legion Bridge.

-- Remember, streets in Northeast are closed from Galloway to Hamilton streets and Eastern Avenue to 8th Street. (This is due to the early morning shooting.)

8:10 AM. UPDATE:

-- I-66 East is still congested approaching Sycamore Street, so expect delays inside the Beltway.

-- The Outer Loop lanes have reopened near the Dulles Toll Road.

-- The debris on U.S. 50 East near U.S. 301 has been cleared.

7:45 A.M. UPDATE:

An accident on the Outer Loop near the Dulles Toll Road is blocking the right lane and right shoulder, so expect delays between the toll road and the American Legion Bridge.

7:20 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The Inner Loop debris after Georgia Avenue has been cleared.

-- Now there's debris on U.S. 50 East at U.S. 301, so there might be some delays in that area.

-- The I-66 East lane has reopened, but expect delays approaching Sycamore Street in Arlington.

-- The Inner Loop is backed up as you approach Braddock Road.

6:55 A.M. UPDATE:

-- There's debris on the Inner Loop after Georgia Avenue, so expect potential delays near that spot.

-- The Inner Loop lane has reopened at Telegraph Road.

-- I-66 still has the left lane blocked after Sycamore Street, so that's going to cause problems for traffic in that area.

6:25 A.M UPDATE:

-- An accident on I-66 East is blocking the left lane after Sycamore Street, so expect backups as you hit Arlington.

-- And an accident on the Inner Loop at Telegraph Road is blocking the right lane and one of the shoulders.

ORIGINAL POST:

Good morning, commuters. For the final morning rush of the week, we're in for some lovely weather. We'll see if the traffic lives up to that. Check back here throughout the morning for updates on congestion, headaches and problems awaiting drivers.

-- Due to police activity in the 1100 block of Galloway Street NE, streets are closed from Galloway to Hamilton streets and Eastern Avenue to 8th Street. (This is due to the early morning shooting.) This entire patch, north of Catholic University, might not impact any huge commuter routes, but if you drive along South Dakota or Eastern avenues in Northeast, you could see some congestion.

-- Hey, the Ohio Drive is almost done! But they have to shut down the roadway this weekend. Check here for more.
