Sunny and chilly commute awaits

8:55 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The Inner Loop is slow at I-66.

-- I-395 North is pretty congested at Seminary Road.

-- The Outer Loop is also pretty slow at Colesville Road.

8:25 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The I-95 North lane has reopened at Van Dusen Road.

-- The I-395 South lane has also reopened.

-- The Inner Loop is a little backed up approaching I-66.

-- But that's okay, because I-66 East is also a little backed up approaching the Beltway.

8 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident on I-95 North at Van Dusen Road could cause delays and problems. It's blocking one northbound lane and one of the shoulders.

-- The accident on MD 295 North has been cleared.

-- There's a disabled vehicle on I-395 South after King Street blocking the right center lane.

7:30 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident on MD 295 North to the north of Laurel Bowie Road is blocking the shoulder, but might cause some delays so be aware.

-- There's a disabled vehicle on the Outer Loop at Arlington Boulevard, and it's only blocking one of the shoulders but, again, these things still manage to cause delays somehow.

-- I-66 East is also pretty backed up as you approach Chain Bridge Road.

7:05 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The Inner Loop is very backed up approaching Gallows Road.

-- The vehicle fire has been cleared and the lanes on I-270 South before Quince Orchard Road reopened.

6:50 A.M. UPDATE:

-- There's bad congestion on I-95 North in Woodbridge.

-- A vehicle fire is still blocking one southbound lane and the right merge lane on I-270 South before Quince Orchard Road.

-- A man was killed overnight pushing his car down the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. The accident occurred between Routes 197 and 198 and the parkway's southbound lanes were closed for several hours overnight, reopening before 6 a.m.

6:20 A.M. UPDATE:

A vehicle fire is blocking I-270 South before Quince Orchard Road. It's blocking one southbound lane and the right merge lane.

Good morning, commuters. The final morning commute of the week is here, and it's going to be sunny and chilly. Make sure to dress in layers in case you have to wait a while for a train or otherwise hit any delays or headaches. Check back here throughout the morning for updates and information on your commute.

I-66 West closed overnight at the Dulles Toll Road, but was scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m.
