Free Metro option for MARC riders
MARC 436 on the Penn Line is currently stopped at Odenton with "an unknown problem," the MTA says. It's currently 23 minutes late.
Original post: MARC Brunswick Line riders headed home this evening can also ride Metrorail for free. The Maryland Transit Administration opened the option due to train delays Wednesday morning. Train cancellations and delays, exacerbated by flood restrictions due to the storms moving through the area, made the morning commute difficult for many riders. Some trains were as much as 40 minutes late, according to MTA reports. The Brunswick Line provides service between Washington and points north and west, including Frederick and Martinsburg, W.Va.
