Inner Loop backed up in VA

9 A.M. UPDATE:

In Maryland: An accident on the Inner Loop at the Wilson Bridge (Maryland side) is blocking one of the shoulders and could cause delays. The Outer Loop is still crowded at University Boulevard, but moving more fluidly. Southbound Colesville Road is inching along near the Beltway.

In Virginia: The Inner Loop is still backed up at Arlington Boulevard, while I-66 East remains jammed up at Chain Bridge Road and I-395 North is still slow around the 14th Street Bridge.

8:40 A.M. UPDATE:

Problems remain the same in Virginia: The Inner Loop remains backed up at Arlington Boulevard, I-66 East is still jammed up at Chain Bridge Road and I-395 North is still a mess around the 14th Street Bridge.

In Maryland, the Outer Loop is slow at University Boulevard and I-270 South is sluggish approaching I-370.

8 A.M. UPDATE:

The disabled vehicle has been cleared from the Outer Loop near Georgia Avenue.

The Inner Loop remains backed up at Arlington Boulevard, I-66 East is still jammed up at Chain Bridge Road and I-395 North is still a mess around the 14th Street Bridge.

7:35 A.M. UPDATE:

The accident on the Outer Loop has been cleared after Riggs Road. But now there's a disabled vehicle on the Outer Loop near Georgia Avenue.

Just the southbound left lane is now blocked on U.S. 1 at Pohick Road in Lorton.

The Inner Loop is backed up at Arlington Boulevard.

7:10 A.M. UPDATE:

The two left lanes of southbound U.S. 1 are blocked at Pohick Road in Lorton.

The Outer Loop lane has reopened before New Hampshire Avenue. But now there's an accident on the Outer Loop after Riggs Road.

I-66 East is pretty jammed up at Chain Bridge Road.

I-395 North remains slow heading to the 14th Street Bridge.

6:50 A.M. UPDATE:

An accident on the Outer Loop before New Hampshire Avenue is blocking one lane.

The issues on I-66 out at Lee Jackson Highway have been cleared up.

I-95 North is pretty backed up approaching Woodbridge.

And I-395 North is still sluggish around the 14th Street Bridge.

6:25 A.M. UPDATE:

Drivers can expect some delays on I-66 around Lee Jackson Highway. There's a disabled vehicle blocking the westbound right shoulder, while an accident is blocking the eastbound left shoulder.

I-395 North is congested now at the 14th Street Bridge as well as Glebe Road, with backups beginning to build earlier on the route as well.

Good morning, commuters. We're in for another cold one with neverending wind, so there's that. Check back here throughout the morning for updates on headaches awaiting you during your commute.

-- I-395 North is congested after Glebe Road.

-- DC Water crews are repairing a broken 8 inch water main on Irving Street between 12th and 13th in Northeast. But while you might see the crews, it shouldn't impact traffic too much.
