By Mark Berman

9:05 A.M. UPDATE:

The 1200 block of N Street in Northwest is closed due to a fire. Avoid the area.

I-395 North is still backed up at the 14th Street Bridge, but things have improved considerably.

Colesville Road is still very backed up heading south from the Beltway to Silver Spring, but it looks like all lanes have reopened in downtown Silver Spring and traffic is moving again.

8:40 A.M. UPDATE:

Southbound Colesville Road is a mess approaching Silver Spring, with traffic backed up nearly to the Beltway. This is causing major problems as the road hits the downtown Silver Spring area, and congestion is also building on Wayne and Georgia avenues.

8:35 A.M. UPDATE:

There's a disabled vehicle on I-395 South just after the Springfield Interchange; it's blocking the right shoulder and could cause problems around this area.

I-395 North is still backed up at the 14th Street Bridge, but the delays aren't as severe.

8:10 A.M. UPDATE:

There are still big problems at I-395 North approaching the 14th Street Bridge.

I-66 East is still backed up at the Beltway, while I-66 West is also jammed up around Sycamore Street.

7:40 A.M. UPDATE:

The right lane on I-395 South has reopened and the disabled vehicle cleared.

I-66 East is pretty backed up at the Beltway.

I-395 North is now very congested at the 14th Street Bridge.

7:15 A.M. UPDATE:

A disabled vehicle on I-395 South is blocking the right lane at King Street.

A disabled vehicle on I-395 North at Washington Boulevard is blocking the right shoulder and could cause some problems. Expect delays.

6:45 A.M. UPDATE:

The debris has been cleared from I-95 North at St. Barnabas Road.

I-66 East is even more backed up at Chain Bridge Road now.

6:25 A.M. UPDATE:

The shoulders are blocked on I-95 North at St. Barnabas Road, so expect potential delays.

I-395 North is still unusually crowded for this early in the morning, while I-66 East is also backed up at Chain Bridge Road.

Good morning, commuters. Another week begins with another chilly day, with yesterday's strong winds hanging around for this morning's commute. Remember that strong winds could potentially bring down trees, so be aware of that today as you head out. We'll keep you posted throughout the morning with any headaches or areas to avoid.

-- There's debris in the road on I-95 North at St. Barnabas Road.

-- I-395 North is already seeing some congestion approaching Duke Street and Glebe Road.
