VRE Train 335 canceled

6:08 p.m. Update: Train 333 is on the move, operating 30 minutes late.

5:55 p.m. Update: Train 333 is leaving the rail yard now and should arrive in Union Station in 10 minutes. It is running 10 minutes late. VRE says it is 30 minutes late.

5:50 p.m. Update: Manassas 333 is still in the rail yard. VRE says to expect a 20-minute delay.

5:30 p.m. Update: More misery on the Manassas Line. Train 335, scheduled to depart Union Station at 6:10 p.m., is canceled because of mechanical issues, according to rail officials.

Original post: Virginia Railway Express officials warned that Train 331 on the Manassas Line, departing Union Station at 5:05 p.m., will be two cars short. Expect severe crowding.
