8:40 A.M. UPDATE:

All lanes are closed in both directions on Bethesda Avenue at Arlington Road in Bethesda.

In Silver Spring, a utility problem is closing two lanes of northbound Georgia Avenue at Dennis Avenue.

There are still big backups on I-395 North at the 14th Street Bridge.

Traffic on I-66 East has eased as you approach Chain Bridge Road. However, there's still congestion around the Beltway.

I-395 North is pretty jammed up at the 14th Street Bridge as well as at multiple points along the way, so just expect delays if you are taking this road.

The inner loop is pretty slow approaching I-66.

And a water main break in Columbia Heights on Mt. Pleasant Street between Irving Street and Columbia Road is not supposed to impact traffic, but there is a detour in effect for Circulator riders.

7:30 A.M. UPDATE:

I-66 East is still very jammed around Chain Bridge Road. A disabled vehicle is blocking the right shoulder of the off-ramp at this area, so expect further delays.

7:10 A.M. UPDATE:

ORIGINAL POST:

Good news for the final morning rush hour of the week, folks: It's going to be (slightly) warmer. Might even get into the 40s. How exciting. Check back here throughout the morning for all of the other updates on things to expect as you head out today.

-- Wilson Lane/MD 188 is closed in both directions at Bradley Boulevard/MD 191 in Bethesda due to a utility problem. If you need to access Bradley Boulevard, it might be a good idea to head south and use Goldsboro Road.

-- An accident on I-70 West in Frederick is blocking two lanes just north of Old National Pike.

-- The National Park Service's rehabilitation project in Prince William Forest Park, north of Quantico, is underway. The first phase of construction involves single-lane closings on Scenic Drive and Oakridge Road through today, and they should occur between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
