Amtrak offers long-distance sale
Amtrak is offering 20 percent off long-distance travel for trips between Jan. 18 and April 14.
Passenger can books the sale fares through Jan. 24, and the sale is valid on all 15 of Amtrak's long-distance trains. The sale includes the Capitol Limited route between Washington and Chicago and the Auto Train route between Lorton and Sanford, Fla. The reservations must be made at least three days in advance, and the sale only applies to coach seats.
